What happened to you yesterday may be affecting you today. The way today goes has an impact on tomorrow. Together we can uncover your truths, your strengths, your path. You may learn to apply your values and boundaries to every part of life. The answers to your life are buried inside of you. Only you know the details. Together we can uncover what you are looking for.

We all have parts of us that we would like to make better. We can acknowledge each part of ourselves and give ourselves permission to grow. Together we will create a plan designed especially for you in a safe place, without judgment, honoring your uniqueness, your culture, beliefs, and experiences.

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I encourage individuals, couples, and families to heal and grow through processing and learning skills to overcome obstacles, change behaviors, and realize a sense of self worth. If you are going through a life change and need help understanding it, have experienced trauma and need help healing, or are living with a diagnosis and want to learn skills to help you in life reach out, let us create a plan.

  • Michelle Huyck

    Michelle Huyck, PCLC

I have experience working with clients who are navigating chronic pain/chronic illness, physical disabilities, addiction, grief, loss, religious trauma, ADHD, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I value learning from my clients and providing psychoeducation. I lean on my clients to teach me about their life, their relationships, and their experiences.

Therapy is successful due to the therapeutic relationship, which is the catalyst for change. I believe that therapy is not one size fits all. I invite you to ask questions, talk about concerns, share your goals, and discuss what therapy might look like for you.

“Trauma is personal. It does not disappear if it is not validated. When it is ignored or invalidated the silent screams continue internally heard only by the one held captive. When someone enters the pain and hears the screams healing can begin”. ― Danielle Bernock

I also have a four legged assistant, Trooper! Trooper is a 4-year old black lab. He attended graduate school with me since he was 8 weeks old. He graduated with a masters in sniff-ology and is a recognized AKC canine good citizen. He loves to greet all his clients with a toy from his (overflowing) basket and provides support and tail wags as needed— he would love to join you on the couch if you invite him!

In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, painting, fly fishing, walks with Trooper, riding my horses, drinking tea, reading research, eating good food, spending time with family and friends.

You are deserving of the time and space it takes to heal and grow. Many of us find ourselves 'surviving' rather than 'living' at times; mindlessly wandering day-to-day questioning our purpose, wondering where the passion has gone. Whether it’s due to a major life adjustment, depression, anxiety, grief, or simply feeling stuck.

If you are navigating a difficult moment or a recent challenge, know that you can expect a safe, confidential environment to explore your thoughts and emotions. Together, we can work toward finding your path to healing and renewal. My approach is client-centered and strength-based; utilizing motivational interviewing techniques, and cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy intervention. I specialize in areas such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and PTSD.

I grew up in Minnesota and deeply appreciate all of the beauty that Montana has to offer. In my free time, you can find me spending time outside fishing, hiking, and swimming. Crocheting, knitting, and reading are passions of mine as well.

Reaching out for help is a courageous step, and I’m here to assist you or your loved one. Are you looking to feel heard and understood? I believe that there is such grace in our stories, and while not all roads are created straight, we often find that winding broken roads can be the most difficult and beautiful.  Through safe exploration of your life experiences we can find your path to great resilience and strength, but the first step towards wholeness is determining you want things to be different.

When we sit down together and chat you can expect for us to get down to the heart of the matter, and explore your situation, thoughts and feelings in such a ways to help you feel seen and understood.  Through empathic reflection we will together select new skills and techniques that will best fit your needs and help you move from feeling stuck in emotional pain to feeling more yourself and ready to meet the world again.

You may look like you’re holding it together, but inside you feel exhausted, stuck, disconnected, or unsure where your life is headed. Maybe anxiety will not let up, depression has drained your motivation, grief keeps resurfacing, or you feel like you have lost touch with who you are. I work with adults—especially men and people navigating major life transitions—who want a grounded, honest space to slow down, understand what is happening, and begin moving forward.

My style is warm, steady, practical, and depth-oriented. We start with tools for day-to-day stability while also exploring deeper patterns, losses, relationships, and identity. My behavioral health experience spans over two decades, and my years as a backcountry ranger in Glacier National Park's wilderness helped shape my calm, grounded presence in therapy.

Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood in our work together and appreciate having a space where they can be honest, explore openly, and grow without fear of judgment. If you're ready to move beyond simply getting by and want to feel more grounded, clear, and connected to yourself, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.

Are you a teen or young adult who feels overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected from yourself? Maybe you’re managing the pressures of school, relationships, expectations, or major life transitions while also carrying emotions that feel heavy or hard to put into words, such as depression or self-harm. If this resonates, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.

Therapy with me is warm, welcoming, and grounded. I focus on creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable being honest expressing themselves, while also offering thoughtful, direct support to help make sense of what’s happening and move forward. It isn’t about having the right answers or knowing exactly what to say. It’s a space to slow down, be honest about what’s really going on, and feel understood without judgment. There’s no pressure to perform or explain yourself perfectly.

My goal is to offer a steady, calm, and non-judgmental space where you can build awareness, confidence, and trust in yourself over time. Whether you’re facing a specific concern or simply looking for support during a challenging period, I’d be honored to support you along the way.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and have experience working with adolescents and adults facing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. I believe every person’s story is unique, and I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs and goals.

My approach is collaborative and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while drawing from other evidence-based approaches when appropriate. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping skills, and build on your strengths to create lasting change.

Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, navigating a difficult season of life, or simply looking for a safe place to process your thoughts, I am here to support you. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and confident that we are working together toward your goals.

Are you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode?

“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how” – Friedrich Nietzsche

I believe that much of our suffering as humans comes from disconnection. When we experience hardship and trauma, we disconnect from our very essence out of pure survival. Our new normal becomes surviving. This lack of meaning and purpose can manifest in a variety of ways. My therapy is designed to help reconnect you with your “why” so that you shift from survival into meaning and live a purpose-driven life. Together we will identify your core values, unravel your limiting beliefs, and restore your nervous system to a state of harmony so that you can function in a way that brings you ease and joy.

My therapeutic approach is always person centered. I don’t believe in a cookie cutter method. Humans are complex, multifaceted beings and I believe that you deserve to be treated as the unique person you are. My interconnected worldview allows me to remain open and nonjudgmental. I recognize the healing power of feeling witnessed with empathy and compassion and it is my hope to create an environment where you feel safe to be exactly as you are. It is often when we feel truly seen and accepted that we are then able to move towards lasting growth.

I specialize in the holistic and integrative treatment of trauma, addiction, chronic illness, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can gently process painful memories, build practical coping tools, and reconnect with your inner strength at your own pace. I am a Certified Trauma Professional and am trained in numerous evidence-based modalities including Mindfulness-Based and Somatic approaches.

Lōkahi is a Hawaiian concept representing unity and connection. I believe wellbeing arises from being in alignment. When our mind, body, and soul are in balance, we can develop a deep sense of peace within ourselves that allows us to live in harmony with each other and the world. Although this state of being cannot prevent hardship or struggle, it brings an unwavering resilience and knowing that there is always hope.
